FAQ
What should I have in my child's backpack daily?
Please keep a large Ziplock bag of clean clothing in your child's backpack throughout the school year. Accidents always happen, and it's easily remedied with an extra set of clothing handy. It also prevents an interruption to your busy day.
Also:
All library books and school literacy books,
Your child's Dino folder,
A bottle of fresh drinking water,
A nutritious snack
How do I add money to my child's lunch account?
You can send money with your child in your child's Dino folder. Please make checks payable to RRISD Food Services. It is always a good idea to put your child's name on the check. Please always send money in a sealed envelope or baggy with your child's name, purpose of money and amount. You may also pay online.
Lunch - $2.80
I'd like to bring a treat to celebrate my child's birthday. What is school policy?
Williamson County policy requires all treats be store bought if there are students with allergies in the class. You may send treats with your child in the morning or drop them by at the office at your convenience. We will celebrate at 2:30. Great birthday treats include: mini cupcakes or muffins, pencils, brownies, cookies, fruit snacks, and erasers. Please note if you want to send invitations to a birthday party, you must send an invitation for every student in the class. If you are inviting only a select group, we ask that you send them through the mail so that other students feelings will not be hurt.
When are library books due?
Library books are due weekly on your child's scheduled library day. Please keep library books in your child's backpack in the large plastic bag. This helps ensure your child is able to check out a new book each week. It also helps keep the book safe from younger siblings and pets. Library books are chosen by your child. These books may not on your child's reading level, and can be enjoyed together .
My child is going home a different way today. What should I do?
Please notify the office 464-4400 by 2:15 pm or send a written note in your child's Dino folder. This is the best way to ensure that we have received this critical information. We will not allow your child to go home a different way unless we have notification from the office or written permission from you.
